Step Zero · Your locations

Many sites. One brand. One honest read.

You run more than one location, and a ten-location operator should not look like a one-van business at the same table. This Step Zero asks about the footprint: ten minutes of honest questions that route you to the right next step, and a document you keep.

"If you are honest, open and complete about where you are, we can meet you there. If you perform, we will both waste time."

What this is

Two instruments, one Step Zero.

The form is the short half: thirteen points, about ten minutes, and it routes. Location count, footprint shape, the three-question exception test from Every Site But One, where you sit in the business, and the money and timing questions a serious conversation needs. Every answer is one we actually use, and "not yet" or "I do not know" is a listed option wherever it is honest.

The document is the deep half: the full reflective Step Zero, copied and kept by you, brought to the clarity call. It holds the per-location board read (seven questions, three marks, every site), your Change Budget, and the four conditions. Nothing in it is submitted anywhere. Nobody reads it unless you bring it.

No gate. A compass.

The form does not score you and cannot fail you. It routes you honestly, including away from us where that is the truth: a single-location operator gets pointed at a better-built path, and a genuine exception shape is told so plainly. The Change Budget lives in the document, unchanged: where to start, not whether to start.

The form

Thirteen points. About ten minutes.

Your answers route you at the end. Leave any time; the link in your browser resumes where you stopped.

Before we start

No gate, no pitch, no sequence: completing the form sends you exactly one email with your next step, and nothing chases you after it. Partial answers are kept and never chased.

The document

Read it through, then make your own copy.

The deep half. Bring it to the call; it is yours either way.

Looking for the single-business version? That is the original Step Zero.

What the form asks

The thirteen, in plain sight.

What the document holds

Eight movements, kept by you.

The call

One conversation. Your footprint on the table.

Not a pitch. A mirror. Your numbers and your footprint on the table, and radical honesty about whether what we build fits what you run. Bring the document; you will be talking to someone who has already read what you wrote.

Before you book

Make your own copy of the document above and work through it at your own pace. If others are part of the decision, they are welcome on the call; it works best with everyone the decision needs. And if the honest answer today is not yet, that is a valid answer: the door does not close.

One location

Not a smaller version of this problem. A different problem.

You run one location. That is not a smaller version of this problem. It is a different problem, with a better-built path.

Everything this Step Zero asks about, footprints, waves, governance across sites, exists to serve operators running many locations at once. You do not need any of it yet, and paying for it would be waste.

What you need is one service business, built properly. That is exactly what SellMyService does, and it is where we would send a mate.

If a second location is genuinely on the table in the next year, say so on a clarity call and we will tell you honestly whether to build for it now or later. And if you open that second site one day, this door will still be here.

Can't hurt. Might help.

Ten honest minutes, a document you keep, and a next step that fits what you actually run.
